How to Get iOS 8 Emojis on Your Samsung Device
Samsung may have its own built-in emoji keyboard, but with the iOS 12 update, Apple’s own emoji have been updated to look more like the human characters they’re supposed to represent. Unfortunately, if you have an older Samsung device and you’re not jailbroken, you won’t get the new iOS 12 emojis on your device. Until now...
A Note About ROOT
You will have to have a rooted phone. If you are not sure what that means, it is usually a good idea to back up your phone before proceeding. You can also try doing some research for your specific model of phone and see if there is an alternative way of installing the emojis without rooting the device.
Step 1: Enable Developer Options
Open Settings. Scroll down and tap About phone. Find Software information and tap it. Tap Build number seven times. Return to the previous menu and you will now see Developer options at the bottom of the list.
Open Developer options and enable USB debugging, then return to Settings > System > About device > Software info > More info > Build number.
Step 2: Use Safari's Erase Cookie Feature
Once Safari is open, head to the Preferences menu. Select the Privacy tab and then go all the way down to Remove All Website Data. You'll be asked for a confirmation, so click Remove Now. This will wipe out any cookies you had before and should fix your problem.
Step 3: Download the File
3. Once the file has finished downloading, press and hold your finger on the ‘Downloads’ folder until a pop-up box appears. Tap the ‘Open File’ option in the pop-up window. 4. Find the .zip file that you just downloaded and tap ‘OK’ when prompted to open it. The emoji file should now be unzipped and ready for installation onto your device! 5.
Step 4: Extract and Copy Files into Their Respective Folders
Next, copy the AppleColorEmoji12.ttc file and paste it into the Fonts folder. Restart your device and emoji should be working!
Step 5) Reboot Your Phone (Optional)
If you're looking for the newest emojis, you'll need to upgrade your phone. But if you can't or won't upgrade, there's a way of getting the older Apple emojis using a third-party app. The easiest way is by installing an app called Emoji Switcher, which allows you to change your device's emoji skin with just one tap.
