5 tricks most out for Android

Though Android has been around for years, it’s still the most popular mobile operating system in the world and continues to grow in users and developers. Whether you’re already an Android user or are thinking about making the switch, there are plenty of tricks you can use to get the most out of your device. Take a look at these five tips and tricks that will help improve your experience with Android phones!

1) Power off your device

If you're not going to use your phone for a while, it's best that you turn it off. This will help save on battery life and make sure that your phone is always ready for when you need it. To power off your device, go into settings, scroll down and select power. From there, select power off.

2) Change your display settings

If you're not happy with your display settings, you can change them. To do this, simply go to Settings > Display > Advanced and pick the option that suits your needs. For example, if you want a more vibrant screen or one with better contrast levels, try changing it from Adaptive Display mode.

3) Enable Location Settings

One of the most common settings on an Android device is Location Settings. This can be set in a few different ways depending on your phone's operating system and which model you have. On an iPhone, it can be found under Settings > Privacy > Location Services. On an Android, it can be found under Settings > Location. The two major difference between the two is that location services has a toggle next to it while location doesn't.

4) Create a backup plan

It's a lot easier than you think to lose your phone or tablet. Whether it's stolen or you leave it somewhere, eventually it'll happen and when it does, you'll probably want your photos, videos, contacts, and other data back on your new device as soon as possible. We've compiled some tips for creating a backup plan that will make getting that data back onto your new device much easier.

5) Uninstall/disable apps you don't use

To save space on your device, you should go through and uninstall apps that you no longer use. It's a good idea to also disable any apps that you don't use often just so they're not running in the background. If an app is taking up too much space, consider uninstalling it and then reinstalling it when needed.
