The easiest way to downgrade an Android app

Have you ever been forced to upgrade to an Android app that you prefer the older version? Or maybe have you ever wanted to downgrade an app because it was poorly received by the community? In any case, this article will show you how to easily downgrade an Android app from the Google Play Store. It doesn’t matter whether it is free or paid – as long as it’s available in Google Play, this guide should work for you. If you have other questions regarding this process or want more information, feel free to leave a comment below or reach out on social media!

Step 1: Open Settings on your phone

## Step 1: Open Settings on your phone, then scroll down and tap Apps. Select the three dots at the top right of the screen and select Show system apps. Find and select the app you want to downgrade, then tap it. On this screen, you should see two options for that app: Uninstall Updates (which is unchecked) and Uninstall App (which is checked). Tap Uninstall Updates if you want to restore a previous version of that app, or tap Uninstall App if you want to delete it completely.

Step 2: Navigate to Applications in Settings

1. Navigate to Applications in Settings.

2. Select the application you want to remove.

3. Click Uninstall and then OK.

4. You will now be taken back to your home screen with that application no longer listed on it, indicating that it has been uninstalled.

5. From there, open a Google Play Store again and select My Apps at the top of the page.

6. Find the old version of your desired app, click on its icon, and select Install from there so that you can download it once again for free (or for a cheaper price).

Step 3: Select the app you want to downgrade

Select the app you want to downgrade and click on Uninstall Updates. This will bring up a list of versions. Scroll down and find your desired version, then select it from the list. Click install, which should take just a few seconds, and then reboot your phone for the changes to take effect. You're now back to that older version of that app!

Step 4: Scroll down until you see Uninstall Updates

In the Uninstall Updates menu, you'll see your apps listed in alphabetical order. If you want to uninstall a specific update, click on it and then select Uninstall. You'll be prompted to confirm your decision and once you do, the update will be deleted from your device.

If you want to delete all updates for a specific app, scroll down until you see Clear Data (six sentences).

Step 5: Press Uninstall Updates

If you're still not able to disable the automatic updates, press Uninstall Updates from the menu. You'll be asked if you want to erase all data on your device. If so, click Yes and then click OK. Your phone will restart. When it turns back on, you can install a previous version of the app by tapping Install earlier versions of this app under Automatic Updates in the App Info tab.
