How to Use Netflix on Rooted Android Phones without Losing Your Warranty
If you’re rooted, Netflix won’t run on your Android phone. That’s because Netflix checks your phone to make sure it isn’t rooted before allowing you to sign in and use it. But don’t worry; you can get around this little problem in just a few simple steps. Here are the exact steps required to use Netflix on your rooted Android phone without losing your warranty!
Step 1: Update/Root your phone
If you have a rooted android phone, you can now watch Netflix with no problem. Here are the steps:
1. Go to Settings and then scroll down until you find Developer Options 2. Click on it 3. Scroll down and click Root Access 4. Turn the toggle switch to ON 5. Hit the back button once 6. Scroll all the way up until you see Persist Security State, make sure this is also set to ON. 7a.
Step 2: Install VPN apps like Hola Unblocker or Tunnel Bear
Hola Unblocker and Tunnel Bear are both VPN apps that allow users to browse the internet with a different IP addresses. Hola Unblocker is free, but Tunnel Bear has a paid version that grants more bandwidth. To install either of these apps, simply search for them in the Google Play Store and click Install. Next, launch the app you downloaded and it will give you a list of servers.
Step 3: Change your DNS settings to Google's 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 servers
To change your DNS settings, go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings. Scroll down until you see Advanced. Tap it, and then select Static IP and enter the numbers 8.8.8.8 for the primary server and 8.8.4.4 for the secondary server under DNS 1. You'll also need to make sure that Keep local data only is selected if you want to keep using your apps while not connected to a Wi-Fi network or data service. Otherwise, be sure all the checkboxes are unchecked.
Step 4: Open Netflix, and watch TV!
Once you have installed the Netflix app and re-rooted your device, open up the app and watch whatever you want! You are now able to use Netflix while rooted. All you need is an Android phone that has been rooted, which can be done with a rooting kit or by yourself through tutorials like this one.
It is important to note that not all devices will work with Netflix after being rooted (typically due to hardware incompatibilities). It is always best to check before performing any operations on your device.
The next step would be using VPNs so that other people cannot see what kind of content you are viewing as well as adding custom skins for more immersive experience.
