Iphone iOS 16 Ticks |
iPhones are equipped with some awesome security measures, one of which being the Touch ID fingerprint scanner. If you’re an iPhone user, you probably love the Touch ID option and don’t want to change it. But this doesn’t mean you can’t personalize your iPhone in other ways, including changing the image that appears when your iPhone is locked or putting your initials on the password bar. It’s easy! Here are five tricks to help you customize your iOS 16 screen lock and make your phone really feel like yours.
1) Choose a Different Wallpaper
If you're looking for a quick and easy way to personalize your lock screen, try changing your wallpaper. You can add a new photo from your library or take a new picture with the built-in camera. For example, I added an image of my cat Sophie to make my lock screen a little more lively. You also have the option of choosing between five preloaded wallpapers if you don't want to use your own images.
2) Change the Animation
1. Slide across the lock screen.
2. Press the home button three times in a row, then slide across the lock screen.
3. Double-press the Home button from any app, then slide across the lock screen. 4. Swipe up from any screen except your home screen, then double-press the Home button, then swipe up again (the second swipe will be on your home screen), and finally slide across the lock screen. 5. If you want to disable the animation entirely, go into Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion and turn it on. 6.
3) Add Widgets to Your Lock Screen
Adding widgets to your lock screen is a great way to make your phone more useful. Widgets can be extremely helpful for things like checking the weather, seeing how many notifications you have, or even getting quick access to your most-used apps. To add widgets on iOS 16, simply swipe up from the bottom of the lock screen. You'll see a row of small boxes - drag one of these boxes up so it's in front of all the others, then tap on it. If you want to remove the widget later, just swipe it away.
4) Use a Third-Party App
One of the best features of the new update is that you can now customize your lock screen wallpaper, instead of only being able to use a pre-set image. With a little bit of creativity, you can make your phone look exactly how you want it. Below are 5 tricks for customizing your iOS 16 screen lock!
5) Jailbreak Your Device
The first thing you'll want to do is find a jailbreak tweak that's compatible with your device. You can do this by doing some research on Reddit, or just browsing through the Cydia store yourself. There are a lot of tweaks available for free, so you're bound to find one that suits your needs. Once you've found the tweak, simply download it from Cydia, install it on your device (which requires an internet connection), then reboot your phone for the changes to take effect. Next, when opening up the Settings app, navigate to General, then select Device Management. From here, select Jailbroken Devices and scroll down until you see a list of installed jailbreaks.
